Owning and managing a small business comes with a set of responsibilities, and one of these will be explored during a workshop offered by the Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT).
The organization offers a variety of services to its membership, and one of these is its Impact Learning Lab. Its April instalment will address the importance of insurance for small businesses, and it will be hosted online.
Almost 25 percent of small businesses in British Columbia are either underinsured or have no insurance at all. The workshop will explore why it is important for businesses to be properly insured, and each attendee will be invited to consider which type is the best fit for their enterprise. A review of common claims will be included as well. The function will take place thanks, in part, to a sponsorship provided by BCAA Small Business Insurance.
Boards of Trade often host events for their membership like this that may help them to find success. Promotional Pens and other swag typically distributed at this type of activity can be sourced from a local printer.
The SBOT has made arrangements to offer its session Impact Learning Lab - Small Business Insurance 101: How to Protect Your Business on April 6th, and it will begin at 9:00 am. The joining link will be emailed to the registrants on April 5th.
