Surrey workshop organized to improve business skills

The Surrey Board of Trade is set to help established and new business leaders in the area to learn how to behave in a professional capacity when it hosts a workshop next month.

The Business Etiquette Workshop will be led by Nicole Wesson and talks will include ‘Keys to Making a Memorable First Impression’, ‘Best Way to use Communication Tools’, ‘What Makes you an Ambassador for your Organization’, and ‘Understanding Conflict Resolution and Personal Ethics’.

The advice offered by the event’s speakers should be helpful for Surrey businesspersons to establish a framework for their professional behaviour. The workshop is being advertised to businesses of all kinds in the area and is expected to attract both top-level managers and members of their teams.

No doubt many of those planning to attend the workshop will be placing a new business card order with their printing company in Surrey. There will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to exchange cards with peers while they put what they learned at the workshop into practice. Business Cards are often seen as the most important tool in making a good first impression. As such, they should be in pristine condition and all included contact information should be correct and up to date.

The Business Etiquette Workshop will take place at the Surrey Board of Trade Conference Room on August 20 from 8:00 - 10:00am. Tickets are $20 for Board of Trade members or $30 for non-members. For more information, and to register, call Jo-Ann at 604-581-7130.
