Surrey university to hold open house

Simon Fraser University's Surrey campus is holding an open house to introduce the community to all it has to offer.

The open house will feature live musical entertainment, interactive exhibits from various departments, a Celebration of Diversity performance, workshops, free popcorn and food, children's crafts and a scavenger hunt with prizes. There will even be cupcakes to help celebrate the campus' 10th anniversary and children will be entertained with activities such as balloon animals and a caricature artist.

Different university departments will be featuring interactive competitions, demonstrations and games. Specific events taking place at the open house include a flight technology showcase, a Head Over Heels exhibit which features adjustable-heeled shoes designed by two students and a demonstration of a rainwater project. No doubt they will also be handing out literature on the courses they offer; SFU Surrey offers 60 different programs of study.

It's very likely that the campus will be relying on Surrey printing companies to help it prepare for the open house. The university will want to provide literature such as Brochures and Flyers to those who are interested in taking a course at the university. These materials will also be useful for those who wish to learn more about the campus and how it helps to improve the lives of the people who reside in the community.

Simon Fraser University Surrey's Global Community open house will take place on March 7 from 4:30 - 8:30pm. Admission is free. For those who require more information about the event, Marianne Medahl can be contacted on 778-782-9017.
