Residents of Surrey are asked to lace up their sneakers in support of those living with Parkinson’s Disease.
The Parkinson Society of British Columbia will once again be holding the province’s Parkinson SuperWalk in 20 communities, including Surrey. The event will raise funds through donations and corporate sponsorship, with the proceeds being used to support both research and programs to help those living with this medical condition.
The route follows a loop that is approximately three kilometres in length, and along with the walk, there will be an opportunity for those who take part to have their name entered in a variety of prize draws. In addition to this, incentives including T-Shirts, gift cards, pins and hats will be given out to those who reach certain fundraising goals. These types of Promotional Products can be produced by a printer for use during activities such as this.
Companies that may be interested in acting as a sponsor for the walk are invited to contact Alicia Wrobel by calling 604 662 3240 to discuss the opportunities that are available.
The event will take place from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on September 11 in Bear Creek Park, which is located at 13750 88 Ave. Further details and a chance to sign up to take part, or make a donation, can be found on the Parkinson SuperWalk website.
