Traffic control persons often require additional training to perform their duties, and the Lane Closure Technician (LCT) course offered in Surrey will equip them with this knowledge.
The learning opportunity will give specialized training to those who work in the field, and it will follow the most current regulations set by the provincial government. The use of traffic control devices, setting up and taking down physical work zones and other planning measures will all be discussed, and everyone who registers will need to be at least 18 years of age and meet the other criteria set by the organizers.
During the workshop, the learners will find out about the regulations that they will need to follow, as well as the equipment that is used. Both basic and advanced skills will be included, and there will be both classroom learning and an outdoor practical session. The registrants will need to wear appropriate clothing, steel-toed boots with ankle support and hi-visibility gloves and garments. They are also asked to supply a pen and highlighter to take notes.
Stationery printers will be able to design certificates to supply to each participant who successfully completes a class like this. They can also offer wallet cards that indicate the holder has taken part in the training.
Surrey’s ProSafe campus, which is located at 12639 80 Avenue, has made plans to offer this workshop on April 10th. The course fee is $189 plus GST.
