Sensory processing issues can be part of everyday life for autistics and other non-neurotypicals, and a Surrey venue has some special Halloween activities in store for those who are looking for some sensory friendly fun.
Museum of Surrey will be welcoming trick or treaters for its Sensory Halloween Celebration. It will have a run time of two hours, and it has been made available for free.
The families that attend the event will be able to go shelling out for the various stations that will be distributing Promotional Products and other treats. Parents have been assured that there will be no jump scares or loud noises, and the kids will have the chance to make a craft to make on site or take home with them. A scavenger hunt will be set up, and the sensory room will be open for anyone who needs a few minutes break.
By hosting sensory friendly activities, a venue can make it possible for everyone to get in on the Halloween fun. Signage, social story Booklets and other materials that can help the attendees to enjoy a positive experience can be prepared by local printing services companies.
October 25th will see Surrey families treated to this sensory friendly event on October 25th. It will open at 5:30 pm, and families that would like to find out more can do so on the city’s website.
