Surrey is proud of the community spirit shown by its residents, and they have been asked to lend a hand with projects that will help the city to showcase its best side.
A series of community clean ups have been scheduled for a variety of the city’s neighbourhoods, and dates are planned for July and August. There are four of them in the works, and it’s free to get involved.
The clean up activities will take place rain or shine, but if the weather is extreme, they may need to be cancelled. Both drop in and registered volunteers will be welcome, and all of the training and tools for the task at hand will be provided. The volunteers will be picking up litter and other debris. Anyone age 14 and up and who is eligible to serve as a volunteer in Canada is encouraged to participate. Online safety training will be available to those who register in advance.
Volunteers are often the lifeblood of community events. Print shops can help to thank them for their hard work and dedication by supplying a variety of Corporate Gifts such as clothing, awards and drink ware.
These community clean up parties will be held on dates starting on July 8th. It will be held at Holly Park and area, and its web listing provides details about its other dates and locations.
