A Surrey sale is offering residents the opportunity to purchase some tree saplings that they can install on their own property.
The city has planned a Tree Sale, and there will be a selection of species to choose from. The planners of the activity have explained that this often increases property values, and it also provides homes for native wildlife, alongside a variety of other benefits.
The organizers will be accepting tree orders online, and payment will be required upon ordering. Each resident can select up to three trees, with the price for each set at $20. The purchaser can then choose a pick-up time that works for them.
Each of the trees that will be on offer will be planted in a five-gallon pot, and they will be ready for planting this fall. A brochure printing company is sometimes enlisted to provide pamphlets that offer tips for installation and care of new plants, and these will help those who take advantage of an offer like this to get their new tree off to a promising start.
Tree orders will be accepted online through the City of Surrey website up until October 22nd. The pick-up day has been scheduled for October 25th and will be held at the Surrey Operations Centre, located at 6651 148 Street.
