Residents of Surrey will soon get to enjoy some good food with their neighbours at an upcoming event.
Hazelgrove Park will be the site for a Community Picnic event, which will provide lots of fun for both adults and kids alike. Admission to the festivities will be free to the public, and everyone is encouraged to make it even more special by bringing along a basket or cooler filled with their favourite picnic food.
The park will have an assortment of activities set up for the enjoyment of the attendees, and there will be sports equipment available for the crowd to borrow. Outdoor and lawn-style games will be on offer as well, and to thank everyone for making the event a success, the first 150 to arrive will receive a free hot dog to enjoy along with the food they brought.
Along with the rest of the fun, the function will sport an area for small businesses to set up shop so they can connect with the community. More details about this, including a list of vendors, will be released to the public closer to the event date. The companies in a local event like this one may opt to distribute promotional Pens and other swag to the participants.
This instalment of Surrey’s summer Picnic Series is on the way for Thursday, July 27th. It will begin at 5:30 pm and wrap up at around 7:30 pm. Hazlegrove Park is located at 7080-190 Street in Surrey.
