For many in Surrey, nothing says “winter” like spending some time out on the ice. The Cloverdale Ice Arena will soon be offering them an opportunity to do just that in a festive setting that has come to be known as the Annual Winter Ice Palace.
To celebrate the season, the facility will be decorated with twinkling lights and other decor, and it has been designed to offer the feeling of an old fashioned pond skating party. Everyone is welcome to lace up their skates, and if they do not have any, they can be rented on site.
These family-friendly skating sessions throughout late December and on into early January. The admission price is $4.50 per person, and both skate and helmet rentals are available for anyone who needs one. Access is free for those who have a Family Fun Pass, a MY Fun Pass or a Recreation Surrey Pass, so the holders of these may wish to bring them along.
An event like this can offer members of the community a great way to come together with their families for an activity they can all enjoy. Posters that promote this sort of function can be prepared by a local poster printing company, and these can help to ensure as many people as possible know about it, making it a big success.
This year’s Annual Winter Ice Palace will begin welcoming skaters on December 21 and it will wind up on January 6. More details, including a full list of the event’s dates and times, can be found on the City of Surrey website.
