Genealogy is becoming a popular pastime, and those who are new to learning about their family’s past may want to reserve a seat for an upcoming Surrey workshop.
Surrey Libraries will be offering the public a chance to discover the joys of genealogy, and while it is free to join in, advance registration is needed. The class will run for one hour, and anyone who has questions has been asked to contact the organizers via email.
The attendees will find out how they can make use of the extensive collection of family history materials that are available through the Surrey Libraries Cloverdale Branch Family History Department, and many of these can be accessed online. Those who are interested will learn how they can make use of everything from microfilm and microfiche records to Journals and Books, and other materials may be discussed as well.
For a variety of reasons, more people are becoming interested in making discoveries about their family's past. A poster printing company can help to make the public aware when an opportunity like this workshop is on offer in their area.
The Surrey Libraries Cloverdale Branch has made plans to host the Genealogy Orientation with Surrey Libraries session starting at 10:30am on February 25th. Its Heritage BC listing supplies further details about the activity for those who would like to take part.
