Learning about science and the world around them is about to get a lot more fun for Surrey kids. Parents are being encouraged to sign their children up for The Kids Food and Garden Club, a program on offer in their home area.
The Kids Food and Garden is aimed at kids from the ages of seven to 12. It will be held on Friday afternoons, starting this coming September. The student-to-teacher ratio will be seven to one, ensuring each child gets plenty of attention. Pick-up from local schools may be available if needed.
The initiative will be focused on both farm and table learning. Hands-on activities will introduce some basic scientific concepts to the group. The kids will use hazelnuts, peaches and the produce grown in the Langley Science Garden. The initiative is designed so that it encourages analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
Camps and other after school activities often choose to have the parents or guardians of its registrants sign waivers ahead of time. These types of business documents, along with Letterheads, can be prepared by local printers.
The Kids Food and Garden Club will be introducing children to the excitement of the world around them starting on September 8th. This educational initiative will run until June, and the sessions will be held at 20399 Douglas Crescent in Langley.
