Surrey calls out to pumpkin carvers

Artists work with a variety of materials, and in this fall in Surrey, carvers will create works of art straight from their local farmer’s field.

This will be the third year for the community’s annual Pumpkin Carving Festival, and everyone is welcome to watch the artists at work. The public will be able to browse through the different entries, and the winner will be chosen based on popular vote.

While pumpkins may take pride of place during this event, there will be lots more going on as well. Emiko will be on hand to visit and paint the faces of the younger guests, and there will also be a bunny petting area full of friendly rabbits, a mini corn maze, a petting zoo, and of course, a fully stocked pumpkin patch.

The admission price for the day will be $5 for those aged two and over, and only cash will be accepted. An area printer can prepare themed Banners for a family friendly event like this.

The organizers of the function are hoping there will be plenty of participation this year, and anyone who is interested in carving an entry can contact the planners through their website for further details.

The festival has been planned for October 7 at 18507 - 20th Ave in Surrey, and everyone is welcome.
