The 11th annual Run, Walk and Roll for Our Kids will take place at Bear Creek Park on June 3 from 7:00 am - 12:30 pm. Registration is $30 which includes a t-shirt. Proceeds go towards supporting the Centre for Child Development.
There are three different walks taking place on the day; the 2K walk/roll, the 5K walk/run and the 10K walk/run. Participants can collect donations from friends, family, and local businesses, both online and offline. They receive a draw ticket for every $50 raised for the cause. The number of participants is expected to be 650 and the goal is to raise $70,000. Participants can also take part in a pancake breakfast, for which a donation is necessary.
There are several sponsorship levels available to local business, beginning at $500. Sponsors receive their logo on the T-Shirts, Signs at the event, and are mentioned in all Print materials and on the Centre for Child Development website. Surrey printing companies will most likely be helping with providing the signage and any banner printing services which may be required to fully recognize the contribution of the sponsors. Local businesses are also encourage to donate items for the prize drawings.
The Centre for Child Development is an organization serving children with special needs, such as cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, down syndrome, autism, and those with brain injuries. The Centre offers several programs and services to the children, including medical rehabilitation.
