The beloved tale of a magical cat who transforms a family’s luck is featured at the Surrey Arts Centre this holiday season.
This performance is produced by the Royal Canadian Theatre Company (RCTC) and is running now until December 27. It will then take the stage at the ACT Centre Maple Ridge from December 31 to January 3.
Jackie Bruce, a regular with the RCTC, is not only the choreographer of the show, but also plays the role of the magical cat with the infamous boots.
There are many elements that go into making a production like this successful - from selecting the best cast to creating the costumes to captivate the audience and pull them into the story. Service providers, such as printing companies, also support these productions with graphic design for Posters, as well as printing of the playbill and Posters, among other items. Often, branded or themed items are available for sale as keepsakes, such as custom Drinkware, T-Shirts and hats.
The story of Puss in Boots is reportedly based an old French fairy tale. It’s about a young man named Colin Miller, and the people who are close to him in his life - his sister and his mother, as well as his friend, Tom Tom the Piper’s son. Their fates are changed for the better after meeting a magical cat who becomes Colin’s pet.
