The 1st annual Building for the Future fundraising golf tournament is taking place this June in Surrey. It is hosted by the Burns Bog Conservation Society, and funds raised will go towards the building of a nature education center.
Burns Bog has been referred to as the "lungs of the lower mainland". It is the biggest domed peat bog on the western coast of North America, and is a stop off point for thousands of migratory birds each year. Additionally, the site is home to more than 20 different species of mammal. The Society, as its name suggests, is dedicated to preserving it.
In addition to golf, there will be a silent auction, door prizes, and a banquet dinner. Players can also take part in contests on the course, which involve long drives and putting.
Many business professionals choose to network with their peers through rounds of golf. No doubt at this Surrey tournament, there will be lots of chances to talk shop. Many attendees may want to place an order for business card printing, ensuring that they will have enough to exchange during the tournament.
The Building for the Future golf tournament will be held at Eaglequest Coyote Creek on June 21st from 11:00am - 9:00pm. Fees are $149.99; dinner-only is $45, and a golf shirt is $35. To learn more about this event, contact Bev at 604-572-0373.
