What's Happening in Surrey, BC…

The New Year’s Business Reception of the Surrey Board of Trade will take place on January 18, 2012 from 5-8 pm at the Board offices. Admission is free for members and those that bring a non-member will be entered into a prize draw.

Those attending will learn about the International Trade Centre, the Business Resource Centre, upcoming Board of Trade events, how the Board is an advocate to the government, the value of a Board membership, advertising and marketing opportunities and about the Business in Surrey newspaper. Surrey is a fast-growing community and it’s often hard for businesses to keep up, joining a Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade is becoming a necessity wherever you live.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Member’s can “buy a staff member’s office” for the evening and use it to display promotional items and products, they can redecorate the office and they can also use it as a private networking space. Those who buy such a sponsorship would be wise to work with Surrey brochure printers ahead of time to arrange for literature to display on their desk for the night. A brochure can be a catalogue of your products or services, or can serve as an introduction to your organization. Anything that people can take away with them is a powerful advertising and marketing tool.

Those who do not buy an office will still have the chance to network with their fellow Board members and their guests.
