Hanging basket class on offer in Surrey

A moss hanging basket can add a natural flair to a home, and a workshop that will make these planters will soon be welcoming Surrey residents.

The participants in the Moss Hanging Basket workshop will each be making their own 12-inch hanging basket, using moss as one of the focal points of its design. It will take place at Darts Hill Garden Park, and the registration fee starts at $30.

The students in the class will work with the provided materials, and everything they need to complete their basket will be supplied. They can choose plants that are suitable for sun, shade or a combination of the two, and the facilitator will be able to aid in their selections. The wire frame, hanger, soil, moss and annuals will be provided, and the learners will be able to take their creation home with them at the end of the event.

An activity like this may spark an interest in horticulture, and it can be enjoyed by gardeners with even no experience at all. Care tip sheets for such workshops can help participants keep their creations looking great throughout the season, and these may be ordered from local Stationery printers.

The Moss Hanging Basket workshop will be welcoming registrants on May 2nd, and the venue can be found at 1633 170th Street in Surrey. There is room for up to 13 participants.
