Fleetwood community to unite for annual event

The annual Fleetwood Multicultural Fair and Market is returning to Surrey this July, presented by the Latinos in Action Society and Inside Kolors.

This is a popular event in the area and there are expected to be at least 10 musical acts performing during the day, including Luvva J. ProFresha. There will also be a wide variety of international foods available for purchase and performances from groups such as the Surrey Folk Dancers, the Bangra School, and the Kara Kata Afrobeats.

In addition, lots of children's activities will be taking place in the kids’ zone, including bounce houses and face painting. Also, local businesses will be exhibiting and selling their products and services. It is expected that several non-profit community groups will also be on hand to let the public know about their programs.

Events like this are good for businesses as it gives them a showcase for a small investment. Many of those participating may be contacting Surrey printing companies in advance to prepare for the fair. Hanging a large, colorful banner over a table might bring more business their way.

The Fleetwood Multicultural Fair and Market is being held at the Fleetwood Community Centre on July 13 from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. Admission is free. To find out more information about the event, call 604-593-2448.
