The White Rock Irish Festival is taking place throughout the month of March in both White Rock and South Surrey.
A celebration of Irish Heritage Month, it is presented by several organizations, including the Irish Club of White Rock and Semiahmoo Arts.
Last year, there were 40 events held in various venues in the area; no doubt this year's festival will feature as many or more events. One special event last year was an Irish Flash Mob on White Rock Pier. There will be musical performances, poetry readings, workshops, lots of Irish dancing, contests and even food and drink sampling.
One event planned for this year is the St. Patrick's Day Dinner Dance. Guests will be treated to a buffet dinner, music from Brian Nicholl and Friends, and performances by Irish dancers.
People from all over the area, including the adjoining city of Surrey, will want to partake in at least one event during the month. To spread the word, local Print companies may have been asked to provide marketing materials such as Posters or Flyers.
The White Rock Irish Festival is being held from March 1st to 31st. The St. Patrick's Day Dinner will take place at Hazelmere Golf and Tennis Club on March 14th beginning at 6:30pm. Tickets are $45.
