An upcoming event in Surrey will provide building officials and builders with plenty of information they can use to build homes that are Energy Star certified.
The workshop will include presentations from a variety of stakeholders, including the city of Surrey, BC Hydro, the Township of Langley, FortisBC, Murray Frank, and E3 Eco Group. Topics covered will involve the likes of EnerGuide, information about how builders can comply with Section 9.36 of the BC Building Code, Working with an Energy Advisor and many other areas. Binding services can be used to create educational materials to be distributed to everyone who Signs up to participate in a training and networking event such as this.
The cost to take part starts at $142 each, the fee for the day includes refreshments and lunch, and there is plenty of free parking as well. Those who participate in the seminar will be able to obtain credits with the Homeowner Protection Office,and also the Building Officials' Association of BC.
