BCPIA Golf Tournament at Morgan Creek

The 2011 BCPIA Golf Tournament will take place at Morgan Creek in Surrey, BC on July 7. This industry networking event is an excellent chance for those in the printing services industry to share ideas and discuss the similar challenges that they all experience.

The British Columbia Printing and Imaging Association (BCPIA) is a trade association that promotes the “best interests of the printing industry in British Columbia.” There are many benefits to belonging to the BCPIA including access to numerous industry resources, premier membership with Whattheythink.com, membership in the National Association of Printing Leaders (NAPL), seminars and speeches. The BCPIA also offers the Graphic Communications Technology Program.

The BCPIA Gold Tournament costs $215 for each member playing or $265 for non-members. There is also the option of only attending the dinner afterwards which is $60 for members and $80 for non-members. The tournament begins on July 7th with check-in from 10:30-12pm at the Morgan Creek golf course; tee-off time is 12pm sharp. Each participating player will receive a souvenir to take home with them.

Events such as the golf tournament let those in the industry get to know their fellow industry leaders in an informal setting. Any networking done at such events is “soft”; there is no hard-sell on the golfing green. However, it is an important event for those who are interesting in learning how others in the same industry are handling the challenges and realities of doing business in Canada during these tough economic times.
