Annual reception to honor Surrey's Civic Treasures

The 10th annual Business and the Arts Networking Reception is taking place in Surrey next month. It is to be hosted by the Surrey Arts Centre.

Those who attend the event will meet members of the Surrey City Council and enjoy live entertainment and plenty of appetizers and beverages. Door prizes will also be given away during the reception. The emcee for the evening is Jackson Davies.

In addition to networking with their business peers, guests will be honoring the recipients of this year's Civic Treasure Awards. The awards are taking place for the fifth year and honor those who have made a significant contribution in the cultural sector by helping to raise awareness of the arts. The award winners were nominated by members of the public and chosen by the Surrey City Council. Three awards were handed out last year and each person received a medallion.

The reception is a perfect opportunity for those involved in the arts in Surrey to meet with their peers and to increase their referral network. Many attending will likely be placing a new business card printing order in advance of attending the reception. This will ensure that they have enough cards to hand out with up-to-date contact information included.
