The BC SPCA is holding its annual Animal Lovers Gala Dinner and Auction to help raise funds for the Surrey Branch Shelter. The Surrey branch is the largest and busiest animal shelter in British Columbia and is currently building a new Centre of Excellence for Animal Welfare.
The shelter handles over 100,000 lost, abused and unwanted animals every year. The organization also supports the general cause of animals and helps educate the public about animal cruelty.
The gala will feature a sit-down dinner, entertainment, dancing, an open bar, cocktails, silent and live auctions, and door prizes. The emcee for the evening will be Mark Madryga of Global TV who will also host the live auction. Guests who donate $250 or more to the cause will be recognized at the event.
Donations will be welcomed from Surrey businesses. Those companies which do donate can work with local printing companies to inform their customers. A simple flyer can be designed and created to mention what the companies donated and to encourage others to attend the event. The flyer can then be distributed through Direct Mail, posted in various public buildings, or can even be handed out on the street.
The 9th annual Animal Lovers Gala Dinner and Auction will take place at the Northview Golf and Country Club on March 2 from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Tickets are on sale until March 1 and cost $125 each or $1,000 for a table of 10; parking is free. For more information call 604-690-9523.
