Surrey’s Heritage Rail has scheduled the Sullivan Excursion Train Ride to continue in the city throughout next month.
The Sullivan Excursion Train Ride begins at Cloverfield Station and passes through nearby farmland, Sullivan station and across Highway 10 before returning. Throughout each tour, a guide explains the history of the railroad to the passengers. Each ride takes approximately 55 minutes and does not include any stops until it is finished.
Since it began on Saturday, May 7, the Sullivan Excursion Train Ride gives people five different time frames to choose from. There are four tours that each begin at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm. To ride the train, anyone interested can purchase a ticket in advance on Eventbrite. When organizing related tour events, the event hosts commonly design and replicate printouts with poster printing to announce tour dates and information publicly.
For most of the summer train rides, passengers will be riding on Car 1225. Car 1225 was first put into commission in 1912 around Steveston, Burnaby and Vancouver. On special occasions, the rides will take place on the Connaught Car, which was originally built in 1911.
The Sullivan Excursion Train Rides are set to take place every Saturday and Sunday throughout July and the coming months until its conclusion on Sunday, October 2.
