Surrey animal shelter schedules open house tour

A Surrey organization that provides shelter, care and love to animals in need is set to kick off 2026 with an open house event.

The Surrey BC SPCA Centre will open its doors for a tour of its animal shelter, and while all are welcome, anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required, as only a limited number of spaces are available.

The participants in the activity will get a behind the scenes look into how the shelter and the organization itself operates, and they may be able to meet some of its animals along the way. They will find out how volunteers are important to its work and how they can get involved, and while no fee is being charged, donations will be very appreciated. If all of the spots are filled, a wait list will be created. The organizers have noted that many of the charges at the venue may be very fearful of people at first, so the animal encounters cannot be guaranteed.

An open house or similar activity gives members of the public a fun way to learn more about the day to day operations of a not for profit group or business. Promotional Products to handout can be ordered from local Print shops.

January 1st will be the date for this guided visit to the Surrey BC SPCA shelter. It is located at 16748 50 Avenue.
