Volunteer fair set for Cheyenne

Volunteering often goes hand in hand with a variety of benefits, and Cheyenne residents are invited to attend an event that may help them to start the year in a positive way.

The city’s Community Volunteer Fair will give those with a willing spirit and organizations in need of a helping hand a chance to connect. It will be hosted by Habitat for Humanity, and everyone is encouraged to stop by and check it out in person.

The function, which will serve as a clearinghouse style occasion, will be filled with booths and tables manned by representatives of various not-for-profits. The public can visit any that catch their interest to discuss the volunteer opportunities they have and how their work makes a difference. Vendors will have food and hot beverages available for purchase, and some of the attendees will be going home with an item they won in the door prize draw.

Expos, trade shows, and fairs often attract large crowds, and the companies or groups that take part may choose to order business cards, promotional pens, or other swag in advance to hand out. These can be sourced from area printers.

This one-stop shopping experience for Cheyenne’s future volunteers will run from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 10. The Laramie County Senior Center will be the location for the event.
