Cheyenne Chamber plans poinsettia fundraiser
The Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce runs a variety of campaigns throughout the year, and one taking place next month will add an extra touch of color to the winter holiday season.
The organization has announced that it will soon be accepting orders for its Poinsettia Sale, and each plant will be priced at $30. The activity serves as a fundraiser for the Cheyenne Christmas Parade.
Those interested can order one of the plants for their own home or workplace, or they may be used as holiday gifts. Volunteers will serve as “Santa's elves,”, delivering them during the week of Thanksgiving so that they can be displayed throughout the season. Monies raised through the initiative will be used by the parade organizers to help fund security and safety measures during the procession, which has come to be a community tradition.
Many organizations plan special marketing campaigns that have a holiday theme, and local print shops can provide a wide assortment of specialty promotional products to offer as sales premiums. These are available at various price points, and can be prepared quickly.
The Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce will start taking poinsettia riders on November 1, continuing up until November 23 and then they are set to be delivered by the volunteers on Tuesday, November 25. Any orders received after the deadline will need to be picked up in person at the Chamber office.
