Cheyenne sees return of Homestead Rendezvous
Homesteaders once needed to have a variety of now-unfamiliar skills for day-to-day living, and a day coming up in Cheyenne will share these with modern-day members of the public.
In just a few weeks, the Homestead Rendezvous will be back for 2025, with a lineup of guest speakers and hands-on learning. Everything from encouraging pollinators to preserving food in the home kitchen will be covered, and everyone can choose the workshops they wish to attend.
The short courses on offer range from making boxelder syrup to beginner beekeeping, organic gardening, and preserving food by hot water bath canning. Each will be led by a subject matter expert, and both morning and afternoon sessions have been scheduled. There are three different registration options available, with ticket prices varying depending on which one is chosen. Questions about the day can be directed to the organizers at (307) 633-4480.
Workshops like this provide a chance for the public to learn new skills, and can range from a brief introduction to a deep dive into the topic at hand. Attendee packets that include promotional pens and other items can be prepared by a local brochure printing company.
This day dedicated to living a more sustainable and hands-on lifestyle will be held on Saturday, September 6th. The venue will be the Laramie County Community College.
