Cheyenne to craft dried flower centerpieces
Drying flowers provides a way to enjoy the beauty of summer even in the heart of winter, and a Cheyenne workshop will use these materials to create a holiday table arrangement.
Registrants in the class will all be crafting their own autumn centerpiece using the dried plant materials provided. Each arrangement will be unique, and there are spaces for up to 25 learners.
While working with the flowers, foliage, and accents provided to them, participants will learn which cultivated and wild species of plants may be suitable for preserving, and they will also be given tips for doing so with flowers from their own home garden. The session will be a messy one according to the event listing, so everyone will be expected to roll up their sleeves and get creative.
Offering the public an opportunity to pick up and develop new skills is one of the roles often undertaken by a public institution. Learning materials such as handouts and visual aids can be prepared by a local brochure printing company.
The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens will be showing local plant people how pretty a dried floral centerpiece can be when they attend this class planned for Saturday, November 18. It will begin at 1:30 pm, and tickets to be part of the session are $45 per person.
