Cheyenne market preparing to return for another season
Cheyenne’s community of farmers, crafters and other small businesses come together each winter in a series of events that offer the public an opportunity to enjoy the fruits of their labors, and this year will be no exception.
Plans are in the works for the Cheyenne Winter Farmers’ Market to be up and welcoming visitors this November, and it will take place on the first Sunday of each month right up until May. While the shoppers browse through all the items on display, they can meet and chat with local producers and support their area’s small scale agricultural operations, many of which are selling fair trade goods.
Even though the weather may be chilly, the market will still have lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables on offer, as well as meat, baked goods and other prepared foods, fresh eggs, many other items. Live music will be playing, and the shoppers can warm up with a hot drink while they meet with their friends and neighbors.
There is no fee being charged to enter the market, and all ages are welcome to come and find out more about where their food comes from. An area printer can supply the vendors that participate in this sort of event with banner printing, packaging supplies, business cards, and brochures that can help them to draw attention to their booth and display.
The first winter farmers’ market for this season will be held on November 3. The Cheyenne Depot Museum will be hosting the event, and the doors will open at 10:00 am.
