A band with a different take on country music will be bringing a new show on tour, and will be entertaining South Charleston residents late next month.
Home Free is an a cappella group consisting of Tim Foust, Rob Lundquist, Adam Chance, Adam Rupp, and Austin Brown. Chance was the latest addition to the group in 2016, taking the place of Chris Rupp. In 2013, the group won the fourth edition of the competition show “The Sing-Off,” which aired on NBC. A few of the tunes they have put their spin on include “Sea Shanty Medley,” “Honey I’m Good,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Story of my Life,” “Friends in Low Places,” and “Castle On The Hill.”
For $302, VIP buyers can get a choice of CDs from the band’s discography, a seat reserved in the first row, a laminate, a poster displaying a graphic design relating to the group, a lanyard, a merchandise gift, shopping before the crowds, a photo with the group, one song pre-show, and the chance to get autographs.
Regular tickets range in price from $35.50 to $185. The venue for this concert is the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center, which is located in the city from which it gets its name. The show is set to kick off at 8:00 pm on August 26.
