Residents of South Charleston who participate in Habitat for Humanity’s “Master Homeowner - Home Electrical Basics” will be well prepared to address common household electrical problems, and this can be an important part of ensuring their property is safe and protected.
According to the organizers of this two-and-a-half-hour workshop, the facilitator will be a Mike Abernethy, who is a master electrician. He will equip the learners with information about their home's electrical system and how to maintain it, as well as how to know when it is time to call in the professionals.
While the class is part of Habitat for Humanity's Master Homeowner Program, it is open to anyone who feels it could be useful to them is welcome to attend. The registration fee is $10, and assistance may be available for anyone who needs some help in meeting this expense.
