Although the holidays are his busiest time of the year, a special guest has made sure to save time in his schedule to be the guest of honor for a South Charleston community celebration.
The city is currently making plans to host its annual Christmas Parade and Santafest, and all are welcome to be a part of the fun. Its route will wind along D Street, and the organizers have said there will be free parking in various locations throughout the community for anyone who needs it.
The spectators at the celebration will be treated to an army of colorful marchers, as well as bands, floats, and costumed characters. Santa himself will take part in the procession, and hot chocolate will be poured for the enjoyment of the crowd. Once the parade has gone by, everyone will be invited to head to the 4th Avenue branch of the South Charleston Public Library – here, they will find carriage rides, entertainment, and other holiday treats.
For many of the kids who attend the festivities, the highlight may be spending some time with the Big Guy in Red. Goody Bags filled with a variety of Promotional Products and other items will be distributed to each child.
