The Three Rivers Avian Center provides a respite for birds as well as educational opportunities for the public, and the facility’s traveling show will be making a stop near South Charleston.
The Kanawha State Forest will be welcoming the “Wings of Wonder” experience, and it will bring them face to face with an assortment of feathered friends. Many of the species that will be included will be hawks and other raptors that are native to the local area, and owls will also be in the mix.
The attendees at the event will have an opportunity to discover what makes birds of prey special as well as their life cycle and their niche in the ecosystem. There will be a discussion of each species diet and ecology will be explained, and there is no fee to attend this public program. It will be family friendly, and it will take place at the park’s gift shop and nature center.
This sort of program gives members of the public a time to see and learn about wildlife, and a printing services company will be able to provide ways to make it even more informative.
