A free South Charleston area event will be celebrating the region’s connection with salt next year, and it promises to have plenty to see and do for all ages.
The Malden Salt Fest pays tribute to the way salt played an important role in the region's past, and it will help to kick off the area’s festival season. Its agenda is filled with activities and entertainment, and there will be special offerings for kids, history buffs and foodies as well.
The planners for the function have booked live entertainment to run throughout the day, and this will be accompanied by an old-fashioned-style parade. An artisan alley will be open so the public can support local crafters, and craft beer kiosks and food trucks will also be on site. The kids can burn off some energy in a special children’s area, and talks will offer more insight into the history of the community.
The organizers of the Salt Fest decided to postpone the annual function until 2022. This means there is more time for additional businesses to sign on, and they are interested in hearing from vendors that would be interested in joining the fun. Vendors in events like this may want to order booth decor, signage, and other items from a banner printing company.
The 2022 Malden Salt Fest will be making its return on May 21st. The venue for the activity will be released closer to its scheduled date.
