Plenty of people in South Charleston love companion animals, and an event will offer them chance to help lower the number of unwanted cats and dogs in the community.
The hosts of the Fix ‘Em 5K will be rising money for the Fix ’Em Clinic, which offers low-cost spay and neutering services as well as other pet healthcare. Both in-person and virtual walks and runs will be available, and those who would like to get involved can choose the option best suited to them.
The in-person run and walk will be taking place at Nitro High School, and those who sign up before February 20 will be offered a reduced registration fee. Awards will be presented to the top finishers overall as well as in an assortment of age categories, and anyone who would prefer the virtual activity can do so from anywhere they wish.
While the organizers of the fundraiser are hoping everyone will lace up their sneakers and hit the road, they understand this may not be possible for everyone. Those who would like to make a monetary donation can do so online, and the Logo Design of the various corporate sponsors for the day can also be found on the function's website.
This activity will be supporting the Fix ‘Em clinic on February 27. The function will begin at 2:00 pm.
