FestivFALL, the citywide multi-arts fall version of June FestivALL, will be returning to the South Charleston area in mid-October.
Throughout the more-than-two-week celebration, The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation at 178 Summers Street will have a window display of students' artwork.
From October 11 to 20, a juried exhibition of 7th through 12th grade artworks will be on display at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences.
Photos of budding artists' winning work occasionally go to local Print shops to be added to family newsletters.
Also on October 11, Art of Seasonal Living with apple recipes and fall crafts will be held beginning at 11:00 am at 800 Smith Street at the Capitol Market, and City Center Dead will perform Grateful Dead hits at Slack Plaza at City Center from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Capitol Market's Harvest Fair will be Saturday, October 12 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday, October 13 from noon to 5:00 pm. More than 20 West Virginia artisans will be selling handmade items and there will be live music and free activities for the children.
Other events will include a public art bike tour, scavenger hunt, poets' evening, mayor's concert, and book festival.
On the last Saturday, the Sunrise Carriage Trail Leaf Walk will take place from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The 0.65-mile walk will include dance, art, and live music.
FestivFALL will take place from October 8 to 24 in Charleston.
