A legendary and multi-talented celebrity will bring his band out on the road, with a concert heading for a town close to South Charleston in early October.
Ringo Starr has been a drummer, songwriter, actor, and singer since about 1957, continuing to make waves as both a percussionist and a solo artist. As a member of The Beatles, Starr became an icon of the 1960s. Since their split in 1970, he has had a flourishing solo career. Starr formed his now well-known All Starr Band for the first time in 1989. Accolades earned by Starr and The Beatles are countless, but one of the biggest honors received by both Starr alone and The Beatles as a group is a place within The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
A short list of tunes released by Starr includes “Rewind Forward,” “After All These Years,” “Wrack My Brain,” and “Occapella.”
The local performance in the latest tour for Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band will be held in the Charleston Coliseum. Tickets are sold using the service Ticketmaster. Pricing currently sits between $55.75 and $327.75, although some tickets may see values change closer to the concert.
Merchandise is usually available at music focused shows, with many items showing off a graphic design tied to the featured star. The concert is starting at 7:30 pm with the date scheduled to be Monday, October 9.
