South Charleston residents have a chance to unleash their inner artist with a relaxing and expressive event in early December.

Winter Buck Painting Experience is an Uncork & Create class. This is a local business based in nearby Charleston that brings the concept of a relaxed yet still educational art class to the area. The attendees will be guided through the entire process by a teaching artist who has plenty of experience running these events. To ease into the painting, instruction will start with going over techniques. These include shading, blending, and incorporating different textures.

Those aged 21 and up may purchase alcohol from the studio to drink during the experience. The cost of this is separate from the admission. Other beverage options and snacks are also sold.

Tickets, including both fees and taxe,s are $39.59. Art pieces on the Uncork & Create walls can be purchased for $10.70 if the payment is made via Ticket Tailor. This site also has access to the class tickets, as well as vouchers for drinks, snacks, and gift cards to use for future events.

The activity will take about two hours. Participants can show up 15 minutes prior to the start. Artsy events often have flyer printing in the advertising process. The timeframe for the lesson is 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday, December 1.
