A former contestant from “American Idol" will be taking their unique sound out for a tour. A show in mid-March will be an entertaining experience for residents of South Charleston.
Born into a family full of musicians/performers, Haley Reinhart started performing at just three years old, eventually taking the stage with her mom and dad at the young age of eight. Initially trying out for Idol during the show’s ninth series, Reinhart was unsuccessful, but made a comeback in season 10, becoming the favorite of many famous viewers, as well as the general public. This was largely due to her attitude towards the criticism and her decision to continue performing the music she loved. Reinhart would eventually finish in third place.
Reinhart has released five albums at the time of writing, in addition to frequently working with the hit cover group Postmodern Jukebox. Some of the tracks from this diverse catalog include “Lo-Fi Soul,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” (originally by Elvis Presley), “My Cake,” “Don’t Speak” (with Postmodern Jukebox, originally by No Doubt), and “Lovesick.”
The Off the Ground Tour will be making a stop at the Clay Center for the Arts and their Maier Foundation Performance Hall. Tickets range in costs from $23.50 to $53.50. These can be purchased via the Clay Center website. Merchandise from the performing acts is often sold during concerts, some using the Logo Design from them as decoration.
The show is currently scheduled to kick off in Charleston at 7:30 pm on March 14.
