The Park and Recreation Department of Watertown has announced several events and activities for the upcoming weeks.
Such departments often turn to poster printing to make the community aware of such activities, events, and offerings.
A workshop to make friendship bracelets will take place at the Watertown Senior and Community Center. This workshop is for children in grades four through eight and will be held next Tuesday, February 8 from 4:00 to 5:15 pm. The fee is $15.
The department is renting ice skates and snowshoes for both adults and those 17 years of age and younger. Reservations for these items need to be made in advance and the equipment can be picked up at the Park and Recreation Department office between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday to be returned by noon the next day.
Hourly rentals are also available at the warming house at Silver Creek outside of its hours for programming and open house. Times for the open house are Fridays from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm. Reservations for hourly rentals need to be made in advance. The key for the warming house should be picked up on the day of the reservation and returned to the drop box outside the office when the rental is completed. The fee is $10 an hour for residents and $15 an hour for non-residents.
