Several activities are being offered by the Watertown Parks and Recreation Department.
Such departments often turn to local Print shops to create Flyers and other printed materials to inform residents of their special pursuits.
Collaborating with the Watertown Archery Club and the Tom Theder Memorial, the department will be offering archery instruction for both girls and boys from 8 to 18 years old at the Watertown Archery Club Indoor Range. The Archery Club will be providing all the equipment needed and certified instructors will be on hand.
Sessions run every Tuesday from January 10 through February 14. Those between the ages of 8 and 11 will meet from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, and those between 12 and 18 will meet from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. The cost is $36 per city resident or $54 per non-city resident.
Senior fitness classes featuring cardio movements, light weightlifting, and calisthenics will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from January 9 through March 1 from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Watertown Senior and Community Center. The cost is $30 per city resident or member of the senior center and $45 per non-city residents.
Step-by-step instruction on how to paint a gnome valentine that is eight inches square will be held by Wendy McDonnell of Set Apart Art. The cost is $15 per person and will be held on Saturday January 28 at 1:00 pm.
