The Yard Waste Site in Watertown is opening early this year to accommodate the seasonal clean up needs of the community.
The site will accept many kinds of materials from yard waste, including vines, leaves, grass clippings, wood chips, and garden plants. Residents should separate stones, brush, or twigs, which need to be placed in designated areas at the site. There can be no garbage or debris left at the site and all containers or Bags must be emptied once their contents have been disposed. There will be no assistance with unloading yard waste, but there will be an attendant on site to address any issues.
Residents who may have railroad ties, landscape timbers, and similar items which tend to compost more slowly need to take these items to the Street and Recycle Center. These items are considered construction debris, for which there will be a fee.
So that residents can be more informed about such services and their requirements, local Print shops often assist with creating Flyers and other printed materials with more details about requirements and hours of operation.
