The new chief of police in Watertown has been named as Police Captain Dave Brower.
Such changes in leadership often call for business card printing services to commemorate the change in rank.
Brower’s career in the department began in 2001. He was assigned to patrol during the first and third shifts. He went on to become an investigations division detective from 2004 to 2014, and from 2014 to 2018 he was a second-shirt patrol sergeant.
He then served as a first-shirt patrol sergeant, and has been a special operations caption for the past two years.
Brad Kuenzi, President of the Watertown Police and Fire Commission, expressed his confidence in the appointment of Brower. He said that Captain Brower has demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and commitment throughout his career. He added that he has a great of experience with the department, which makes him the ideal person to lead the department.
Brower expressed his gratitude for being considered to lead the department. He said he hopes to support the team of dispatchers, officers, and support personnel as they deliver the expectational service for which they are known.
He added that he plans to develop strong relationships in the community and continue the department’s commitment to protecting and serving the residents of the city.
There will be a ceremony to swear in Brower as police chief on Friday November 17, in the chambers of the city hall council at 11:00am.
