The Watertown Main Street Program is currently involved in projects and holding events to beautify, preserve, and protect the economic vitality of the downtown area.
Poster printing is often used to make such projects and events known throughout the community.
First, it will be providing grant funding of $26,500 to help with the costs of restoration of 11 façade enhancement projects, which have already been approved. These funds were raised through several successful events from last year. The most recent project that has been completed is the repainting and tuck-pointing of the home of Curves for Women. This is the S. E. Randall building, which was constructed in 1870.
A Downtown Watertown Craft Beer Walk is also being planned by the organization for later this summer. There will be samples of specialty craft beers and snacks at 10 locations in the downtown. Beatification projects of the downtown will receive the proceeds of this event, for which tickets are $25 each. The Walk will take place from 5:30 - 8:30pm on Thursday August 25.
Later this year, there will be an Art of Main Street Auction. The custom hand-painted artistic Banners that adorn Main Street over the summer will be sold at the Watertown Elks Lodge. This event will place beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 16.
