The Parks and Recreation Department of Watertown is currently holding registration for youth soccer for the spring season.
Girls and boys who are currently enrolled in five-year old kindergarten through grades eight are eligible to participate. The season (subject to how the current coronavirus situation progresses) will begin on April 18, and be held on the Saturday mornings of April 25, May 2, and May 9.
Banner printing can be used throughout the community to inform residents of such activities.
Registration is also being held for the Lil Kickers 4K Soccer Program for the spring. This program is for girls and boys enrolled in four-year-old kindergarten. There will both instruction and scrimmaging and will be held beginning April 18 and on the Saturday mornings of April 25, May 2, and May 9, as well as the evenings of Thursday, April 23 and May 7.
Children between the ages of 5 and 14 will also have the opportunity to participate in girls’ fast pitch softball and summer baseball. Those of all skill levels are encouraged to register. The deadline for registration is April 1.
The department is also holding lifeguard classes for those who are interested in becoming lifeguards for the Aquatic Center. Classes will be held on Fridays April 17 and 24, on Saturdays April 18 and 25, and on Sundays April 19 and 26. Independent coursework outside of class will also need to be completed.
