Taking place tomorrow evening, an organized bike ride has been set up to challenge competitive riders to improve their speed and a fitness, together with a more recreational ride designed for those more comfortable at lower speeds. The organizers of this ride might have used poster printing to spread the information to bicyclists throughout the area.
As part of the ‘2 Rivers Bicycle and Outdoor Group Ride’, people will participate in a training ride that will encourage them to get faster, while performing at a medium pace of 15 – 17 mph for approximately 26 – 30 miles. The recreation and fitness portion of this event will encourage those who love roads and trails to participate and enjoy a ride at 10 – 13 mph for 10 – 15 miles.
All riders must provide their own road bike, filled water bottles, helmet, and biking shorts if the weather is appropriate. Some of the trails being travelled are gravel, so a good, well-functioning bike will be needed.
The 2 Rivers Bicycle and Outdoor Group Ride is free to take part in and will be occurring on Thursday, April 24t, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It leaves from 2 Rivers Bicycle and Outdoor located at 2 East Main Street in Watertown. To register, or find out more about these rides, please visit the store’s website or call 920-261-4400.
