New chief to head up Watertown fire department

Tanya Reynen is the new Fire Chief of the Watertown Fire Department, and will take command this month.

Such new appointments often have a need for business card printing services.

Reynen has been in public service for close to 20 years. At Lake Country Fire Rescue as the Deputy Chief of Training Center, a statement on WatertownWI.gov notes that she fostered a culture of excellence and led many new initiatives. She has held many other positions, including at the Watertown and Brookfield Fire Departments as a Firefighter/Paramedic, at Waukesha County Technical College as an Adjunct Fire/EMS Instructor, and at Western Lakes Fire District as an On-Call Firefighter/Paramedic.

Reynen said that she began her career in Watertown and expressed her excitement about returning to the community and serving its people. She added that she is looking forward to empowering the staff so that they can do their best in serving the community and building relationships, both internally and externally, that improve the resilience of the community.

Mayor Emily McFarland welcomed Chief Reynen to the city of Watertown and said she is looking forward to her leadership of the department. McFarland expressed her pride about the service of the members of the department and her confidence that Chief Reynen will be able to continue their excellence.

A swearing-in ceremony for the public will be held at a later date.
