The Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the city of Watertown are collaborating on plans to accelerate the replacement of the Cole Memorial Bridge, also known as the Main Street Bridge.
Local Print shops often assist in spreading the word about such important construction projects with the creation of Flyers and other printed materials.
This work is dependent on successfully completing the foundation disconnection at 2 East Main Street and essential stabilization work, as well as the success of the bidding and award process through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
The city of Watertown has funds allocated by the State of Wisconsin Biennial Budget to finance the foundation disconnection and the stabilization work. This work is to ensure that the process for the replacement of the bridge is a safe and efficient one. The contractor for this work is McMullen and Pitz of Manitowoc.
Mayor Emily McFarland said that this work has been made possible by the efforts of Governor Tony Evers, State Representatives Mark Born and William Penterman, and State Senator John Jagler, as well as others at the state level who have advocated for and discussed the unique situation of the Main Street Bridge.
The stabilization work is expected to be completed over the course of 12 weeks. Bids for the bridge replacement project are expected to open in the spring of this year, and construction will begin shortly after that process.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Print
